Three years to find the right desk chair in Chiang Mai
I moved to Chiang Mai three years ago thinking any chair would work for my setup. After trying three different chairs from local shops and dealing with back pain for 6 months, a friend told me to just order a proper ergonomic one from Bangkok. Has anyone else had trouble finding decent office furniture in Southeast Asia or is it just me?

Started looking for a decent monitor stand in Hanoi last year and ended up buying a cutting board from a kitchen supply store, drilled holes in it for cable management, and used a stack of old textbooks to get the height right. It worked surprisingly well, at least until the books started sliding around when I sneezed (which happened a lot during allergy season). Sometimes you just have to MacGyver your way through these things, you know?

my buddy tried three different ones in bkk before he gave up and flew one back from singapore on his carry-on. apparently the local stores just don't stock the good stuff for some reason.
