That hostel owner in Cusco who yelled at me for 5 minutes about my backpack taught me more than any guidebook
He pointed at my 65L pack and said 'you carry your whole life on your back, but you still pack fear,' and after I spent 3 days unpacking and repacking on his rooftop, I started asking locals about bus routes instead of checking apps, so has anyone else had a random stranger's rant completely flip how you travel?
