Remember when everyone said you could work from a beach? I called total BS on that

For years I thought the whole 'laptop on the sand' thing was just marketing fluff. Then last summer in Tulum, I actually tried it with a proper sunshade and a portable battery pack. I got a solid 4 hours of focused work done with my feet in the water, and it completely changed my mind. The key was going early before the crowds and having a solid mobile hotspot. It's not an everyday setup, but it's totally possible for a few hours. Anyone else found a spot that made them rethink a digital nomad cliche?

Distractions at home are the worst, they completely kill my focus too. I’ve found that just moving to a different room in the house can make a huge difference. Sometimes the change of scenery, even if it’s small, is all your brain needs to reset. It doesn’t have to be a beach or a cabin, just somewhere that isn’t your usual spot. A quiet corner at the local library has saved me more than once when I just couldn’t get anything done.

My buddy did his whole tax season from a cabin in Montana, lmao. He said the quiet and no distractions actually made him way more productive. Totally changed how he sees remote work now.
