Ran into a former coworker at a co-working space in Chiang Mai who convinced me to drop my rigid schedule

I was sitting in Punspace yesterday, grinding through my usual 9-to-5 routine I brought from back home, and this guy I used to work with in Ohio sat down next to me. He told me he now works in 90-minute bursts with long breaks in between, and he showed me his tracking app where his output had actually gone up 30 percent. Has anyone else tried chunking their work time like that and seen real results?

Totally agree, I had the same thing happen last year when I ditched my strict hourly blocks. My productivity went way up once I just let myself work when I actually felt focused instead of forcing it. It's wild how much your brain fights you when you try to jam it into a schedule it clearly doesn't want.

Yeah but the real thing nobody talks about is how schedules are basically just security blankets. We get so used to punching the clock that we forget our brains don't actually run on any factory timer. Like have you ever noticed how your best ideas come in the shower or during a walk, not at 2pm when your calendar says "creative block"? I've seen people waste years trying to force their brain into a box that doesn't fit. Your coworker isn't onto some secret, he's just listening to what his body already knew.
