My entire workflow shifted after a power outage in Chiang Mai
Back in 2019 I was working out of a coffee shop near Nimman when the whole block lost power for 6 hours. My laptop died at 40 percent because I never carried a charger, and I had a client call at 3pm I just had to skip. That night I bought a portable power bank and started mapping out which cafes had generators. Now I check backup options before I even book a hostel, and I keep a paper list of offline tasks for every trip. Anyone else had a single infrastructure failure change their whole setup?

mapping out which cafes had generators" is honestly genius and also terrifying that we live in a world where that's a thing. Me, I just panic-bought three power banks after my laptop died mid-sentence on a call and now I carry them like a weirdo mom carrying snacks for a toddler.
