Hit 50 different coffee shops in a single city and it made me rethink my whole 'workspace' strategy
On one hand, chasing the 'perfect spot' feels productive and fuels my creativity. On the other, I've probably spent over $500 on lattes this quarter just to have a table. Which side are you on?

That spreadsheet thing... my cousin made one for public bathrooms downtown. Rated them on toilet paper quality and how likely you were to get hassled. He got way more into the spreadsheet than actually finding a place to work.

My friend did that cafe hopping thing last year in Portland. Ended up with a spreadsheet of wifi passwords and outlet locations. Seems like a lot of work just to get some emails done. For me, the constant moving around would kill any focus. That $500 could buy a really nice chair for your actual home.

That spreadsheet thing is too real. My buddy tried working from coffee shops for a week. He spent forty minutes one morning just driving around looking for a spot near an outlet, then his laptop died because the charger wouldn't reach. He finally sat on the floor next to a trash can. Paid nine dollars for a cold brew and got nothing done.
