Coworking space in Medellin turned out to be a total scam despite great reviews

I was skeptical about paying $200 a month for El Poblado spot with 4.8 stars, but figured it was legit. First week the wifi dropped 5 times in one afternoon and the manager just shrugged. Anyone else found a coworking space that looked perfect online but was a total mess in real life?

What is it with these places having 5 star reviews but falling apart the second you actually need the wifi to work? Makes you wonder how many of those reviews are fake or from people who just popped in for a coffee once.

That actually reminds me of something I read the other day about fake reviews. Apparently some places BUY their five star ratings in bulk from services that post from fake accounts. Makes you wonder how many of those glowing reviews are from people who never even walked through the door. I've seen coffee shops with perfect scores but you show up and it's a total mess inside. The wifi thing is a HUGE red flag too because if they can't keep that basic thing working, what else are they cutting corners on. Always look for the 3 star reviews on places - those usually tell the REAL story.
