Cafe in Chiang Mai ran out of desks, so I built my own mobile setup

Last month I landed in Chiang Mai with my usual plan: work from a different cafe every day. But every spot I tried was packed by 9am, and one place actually told me, "We only allow laptops until noon now." I was stuck in my guesthouse with a terrible chair and a wobbling table, so I got creative. I picked up a cheap folding lap desk for $12 and a USB power bank, then started scouting parks and temple grounds with benches. Turns out I get way more done outside with birds and coffee from a street cart than I ever did inside a noisy wifi cafe. Now I rotate between three outdoor spots and only hit a cafe when I need a proper meeting space. Has anyone else ditched the cafe routine for a public park setup, or am I the only one who got tired of the laptop crowd?

Three temple benches in, and I never looked back at the wifi circus.
