Bangkok housing choice has me second-guessing my nomad style

I just landed here and had to pick between a monthly rental or moving every week. One view says a fixed spot helps focus on my job without distractions. The other side argues short stays offer more adventure and new views. I can't decide if I want roots or freedom right now. What's your take on this common nomad dilemma?

Man, I chose the weekly chaos once and lived out of a backpack for a month. Saved zero money because I kept buying adapters I'd already lost. My work focus was shot, staring at new walls every few days. But I did find a killer street food spot I never would have seen otherwise. Can't tell you which was better, my sleep schedule is still messed up.

My friend did the monthly thing in Chiang Mai and got stuck in a noisy building for four weeks. That kind of commitment kills the whole point of being able to move when you want. The freedom to leave a bad spot is worth more than a stable desk.
