Am I the only one who thinks the 'work from anywhere' idea is getting twisted?

I keep seeing posts from people who pack up for Bali or Lisbon with just a laptop and a dream, but no real plan for income. Last month, a guy in my hostel in Medellin said he was a 'digital nomad' but his only work was selling a dropshipping course. On one side, this life is about freedom and location independence. On the other, it feels like some are just on a long vacation they can't afford, which gives the whole thing a bad name. Has anyone else run into this and how do you handle those conversations?

Yeah "seriously" is right sean_foster99, most of those courses are just repackaged free info. You can learn the basics from YouTube and a Shopify blog, save your cash. The real work is in marketing and customer service, which they never really teach you lol.

Sounds like a pyramid scheme with better scenery.
