Tried a paper inbox for a week after years of digital

I was getting buried in email notifications so I grabbed a stack of index cards from the hardware store and wrote down every task I needed to do. By Wednesday I had 47 cards spread across my desk and lost two of them behind a monitor. Learned that my brain just works better with digital lists because the search function saves me from my own clutter. Has anyone else gone analog and actually stuck with it?

Index cards are chaotic little monsters. My aunt organizes her whole life with them and she has a color coded system that somehow works. I lose my phone twice a day so paper would be a total wreck for me.

Man, I gotta say the paper thing never clicked for me either. I tried it with a little notebook once and ended up writing notes to myself on my hand because I couldn't find the book. Digital search is just too useful to give up when you're juggling a bunch of stuff. Index cards especially feel like a disaster waiting to happen, they just scatter everywhere. Some people swear by it but my brain doesn't work that way at all.
