Started leaving my phone charger in the truck and my screen time fell to 1 hour 40 minutes
I kept cracking 4 hours a day on my phone and most of it was just lying in bed scrolling. About 3 weeks ago I yanked the charger out of my bedroom and left it in the truck overnight. First couple nights were rough, I just sat there bored, but then I started reading paperbacks again and falling asleep way faster. My phone's own report now says 1 hour 40 minutes a day, which still feels like a lot honestly. Has anyone else tried making the phone inconvenient instead of deleting apps? I feel like that worked better for me than any app blocker ever did.
Did your friend ever try the charger in the car thing and have it backfire? Mine did exactly this and ended up just sitting in the driveway at 11pm listening to podcasts because the truck was more comfy than the bedroom. Took her a week to admit she was basically tailgating in her own yard every night. She switched to leaving it on top of the fridge instead, which mostly worked since she's short.
