Realized I was hoarding 5,000 unread emails like a digital dragon

My phone storage suddenly filled up and I traced it to the Gmail app caching all those emails going back 8 years. Anyone else discover a weird storage drain from something dumb like this?

Bet you felt like a hoarder on an episode of that show where they clean out garages. 5,000 emails is rookie numbers though, gotta pump those up.

I hit 12,000 unread emails last month and honestly just deleted the whole inbox. Took me three days to sort through the ones that actually mattered. Did you end up cleaning yours out or just leave it as is?
