Read a blog post about inbox zero that said to unsubscribe from everything at once.

The writer claimed they went from 2,000 emails to 12 in one afternoon by unsubscribing from 47 mailing lists, so I tried it last Saturday and now I'm down to 300 but my inbox is suddenly full of "we miss you" messages, has anyone else dealt with that flood of re-engagement spam?

Did they actually unsubscribe you or just hit the spam button?

Hear me out though... I actually think hitting spam is way more common than people realize. It's like a one-click nuke for their inbox and they just move on without thinking about the consequences. @perry.karen probably got caught in that trap where the system just auto blocks you from future sends. But honestly, sometimes it's not even personal, people just get overwhelmed and hit whatever button stops the noise. Unsubscribe takes an extra step so spam is the lazy way out...
