Overheard a coworker say they haven't unsubscribed from a single email in 5 years

I caught a guy at my coffee shop saying he just lets his inbox pile up because deleting takes too long. I spent last Sunday unsubscribing from 47 lists and my daily email count dropped from 80 to like 12 - has anyone else tried a mass unsubscribe day and seen big results?

My buddy actually did this and ended up accidentally unsubscribing from his landlord's maintenance alerts which caused a whole plumbing issue to go unnoticed for weeks. He said checking 80 emails was better than dealing with that mess, lol. Now he just leaves everything unread and searches when he needs something specific.

Tried it once, got halfway through unsubscribing and realized I'd created 14 more passwords I'd now have to remember. So I just gave up and started a new email address instead.
