Hit 500 unread emails and finally cracked
Opened my inbox last Tuesday morning and saw 498 unread messages staring back at me. That number just felt insane for a personal email account I barely use for work. I spent the next two hours unsubscribing from every newsletter and promo list I signed up for over the last 5 years. Ended up deleting about 300 emails without even reading them. Now I'm down to under 20 unread and I check it once a day max. Has anyone else had that moment where a big number like that finally pushed them to clean house?

Good on you for sticking with it, but 500 emails is pretty small compared to some folks I know.

Small? Damn, I thought 500 was the breaking point. Some of my teacher friends have been too scared to even open theirs for years, I can't imagine letting it get that far gone.
