Wasted 2 years avoiding Procreate because I thought it was overhyped

I started digital art back in 2015 with a free tablet and GIMP. Thought Procreate was just for Instagram people who didnt want to learn real software. My buddy kept telling me to try it for like 6 months straight. Finally caved last summer and bought it for $13. Now I do almost all my sketching there and only move to desktop for final rendering. What tool did you sleep on for way too long?

Honestly, I can't believe you spent TWO YEARS fighting it over $13, that's wild to me. The amount of time I've seen people waste avoiding Procreate because of some weird gatekeeping about "real software" is honestly insane, like it's just a tool that works. Tbh I had a similar thing with Clip Studio Paint, kept thinking it was only for manga artists when it's actually amazing for general illustration too.
