Switched from a Wacom to an iPad for line art and the pressure curve surprised me
I've been doing digital line art on a Wacom Intuos for about 4 years and always fought with my lines looking scratchy. Last month I borrowed a friend's iPad Pro with Procreate for a weekend and did the same drawing twice, once on each setup. The iPad version came out way smoother and I finished it in 40 minutes vs almost 2 hours on my old setup. What I figured out was that Procreate's default pressure curve is way less aggressive than the Wacom driver's, so my light strokes didn't get lost. I ended up tweaking my Wacom curve to match and now my lines look almost identical on both. Curious if anyone else has noticed a big difference in how different tablets handle light pressure, or if it's just me.
