Spent 3 weekends fixing a jpeg halo in my digital piece and the fix was 1 checkbox
Everyone in this community keeps saying you need custom brush packs and 20 layers for clean line art, but that is not what bit me. I finished a poster piece in early March for a local band here in Dayton, and every shape I filled had this ugly white halo around it on export. Three weekends gone. I redrew the mask 4 times, tested 6 export settings, and even reinstalled my whole art app. The actual problem was one checkbox in the export menu called 'matte' that had defaulted to white. One click and the halo was gone in 2 seconds. So before you buy another brush set or watch a 90 minute tutorial, tell me what tiny setting wrecked your last project?

Ever check your canvas color mode? Mine was set to CMYK from some old print file, and every screen export came out dull and muddy until I switched it back to RGB. Settings you never touched are always the sneaky ones.
