My tablet almost flew out the window at a coffee shop

I was at a Starbucks downtown trying to show off my new digital painting of a dragon. I leaned back in the chair and the thing slid right off my lap, bounced off my knee, and hit the floor. The screen cracked in the corner but the worst part was the coffee I'd set next to me splashed all over the sketch before I could save it. Has anyone else had a near disaster with their gear in public?

Wait hold up, I think you might be mixing up what happened there. The coffee spilling didn't actually "splash all over" your digital sketch. Since it's a digital painting on a tablet, the coffee would've just hit the screen itself, not the actual art file unless the thing shorted out. I've dropped my iPad in a puddle before and the file was totally fine once it dried out. The real disaster is that cracked screen corner, thats gonna be annoying to draw on forever lol.

Jeez, I don't know man, is it really that big of a deal? Plenty of people use tablets with a tiny crack in the corner for years and get by just fine. Seems like a lot of fuss over a little screen damage that probably won't even mess with your art that much.
