My first go at a 12 layer character sheet blew up way faster than expected
I set up a layered PSD when I did my first real character turnaround, like 12 separate layers for the armor, skin, and cloth so I could animate parts later. I showed it in a livestream on Twitch last Tuesday, fully expecting people to scroll past. Then a follower with 40k on Instagram asked if she could repost it, and my gallery page went from 180 views a day to over 3,200. Turns out breaking the figure into a clean transparency stack was what everyone wanted to study, not the final render. I learned that showing the messy steps beats the polished version for engagement. Does anyone else share their WIP layers, or do you keep that behind a paywall?
