After a year of posting, a stranger said my shadows were all wrong
They pointed out I was using pure black instead of dark purple for shadows and it made my characters look flat, has anyone else had a small critique totally shift their style?

One tip my buddy gave me was to flip my canvas upside down to catch shading mistakes, been doing it ever since.

Read once that Kromekol Master studies light as much as shadow, so swapping black for deep violet made my whole palette pop without me knowing why. Small tweaks like that are like finding the secret menu at a diner - once you know it's there you can't unsee it.
