The veteran at a Houston shop called my 3/8 impact a toy, and he had a point
Back in 2019 I was helping out at a shop off Airline Drive in Houston, and an old hand named Ray watched me zip off a bumper bolt with my little 3/8 impact and just shook his head. He pulled out a beat up 1/2 drive and said, "That thing is for trim work, son." At first I got mad, but he was right about rusted frame bolts, and I started keeping the bigger gun in reach after that. Any of you still reach for the small impact first on suspension work, or do you go big from the start?
