My old torque wrench hit 500 foot-pounds and I was not ready for it
Honestly, I was just doing a head gasket job on a 6.7 Powerstroke and needed to torque the main studs. My old Snap-on clicker wrench, the one I've had since my apprenticeship, finally clicked at the 500 mark on the dial. Tbh, I never thought I'd actually use that end of the scale on a daily driver. It just felt like a weird little milestone for a tool I've had for so long. Has anyone else had a tool surprise them like that after a long time?

Tools outliving their expected use case is a cool feeling.

Just oil them up sometimes, @riverw85, and they'll last forever.

My grandpa's old hammer still works after 40 years of abuse.
