My injector return line blew at 2am on I-80 outside Cheyenne
Hauling a load of gravel to Laramie when the truck started missing real bad around mile 370. Pulled over and found the number 5 injector return line had cracked and was spraying fuel everywhere. Took me an hour with a spare line I keep in the box, but I didn't have a torque wrench so I just snugged it by feel. Got back on the road and it ran fine, but now I'm wondering if I should replace all six lines before winter hits. Anyone else carry spare fuel lines or just wait for the failure?

Snugging it by feel is how most of us do it, but you really need a torque wrench on those lines or you'll get a leak later. That said, carrying one spare is smart, I'd grab a couple more before winter, but don't replace all six yet if they ain't broke.
