Had to choose between a new impact gun or a good set of long pattern wrenches last month.

I went with the wrenches, a set of eight from Harbor Freight. It saved me a ton of time on a stubborn power steering line fitting that my old short ones couldn't reach. Anyone have a favorite brand for those tight-clearance jobs?

My buddy Steve had a Craftsman set from the early 2000s that he used for everything. He finally snapped the 14mm last year trying to free a caliper bracket bolt on his old truck. He replaced the whole set with GearWrench, said the flank drive style saved his knuckles on that same job.

What brand were those Harbor Freight ones, the Pittsburgh pro line? I've got a set of their long handle double box ends that have been absolute lifesavers for exhaust work.

Yeah those are Pittsburgh Pro, but they're actually long handle flex head ratcheting wrenches, not double box ends. I've seen them save a lot of knuckles too, kind of like what wyatt_shah85 was saying about the GearWrench flank drive. Harbor Freight really stepped up their game with that line.
