Found a fuel additive eating through rubber hoses at a shop in Phoenix last month

Tested three popular additives on old Viton hose sections and two of them had the rubber flaking off inside 48 hours, has anyone else seen this happen with a specific brand?

my Viton test with Lucas turned into goo too @amy975, guess I'm not the only one who's bad at choosing fuel treatments.

I tested Lucas Fuel Treatment on some old Viton lines from a 90s Ford and had the inner lining start peeling after about 24 hours. The stuff turned the rubber into this sticky mess that smelled like nail polish remover. I switched to STP and had no issues with the same batch of hoses. Maybe the temperature in Phoenix makes it worse since it was hitting 110 that week.
