Fought a no-start on a 6.7 for 3 days, a $4 hose clamp fixed it
Had a truck come in with a crank no start and I threw parts at it for 3 days straight, fuel filters, a lift pump, even swapped the FCA. A guy at the parts counter in Amarillo asked if I pressure tested the low side and I said of course, held 60 psi all day. He told me to test it cold at 6am instead, because the leak only showed up when the fitting shrank. Sure enough the suction line fitting was sucking air overnight and the gauge looked fine once the engine bay warmed up in the shop. New clamp and o ring, fired right up on the first bump. Anybody else get burned by testing at the wrong temp?
