Showerthought: the $12 lunch spot on Woodward has better handshakes than the $60 one in Birmingham
Grabbed a coney at a spot near Woodward and Grand Blvd last Thursday and watched two guys close a supplier deal over a $12 lunch, while the fancy Birmingham place I tried two weeks ago had folks awkwardly trading cards after their salads. Is it just me, or does real Detroit networking actually happen in the cheap spots while everyone keeps chasing the expensive ones?
