My supplier said I'm wasting money on printed materials
He showed me his spreadsheet from 2019 versus 2024, 60% of his clients dropped paper catalogs for QR codes and I'm sitting here with 2,000 brochures collecting dust in my garage.

I saw something about QR codes making a big comeback, maybe your supplier's onto something.

Six years back I was in a diner outside Tulsa and the menu had nothing but QR codes... no prices, no descriptions, just squares. The old waitress said they'd been doing it since 2019 to save on printing. @the_elliot your supplier might be onto something with the comeback thing, because that diner is still packed every time I roll through. I tried scanning one with my flip phone back then and nothing happened... had to ask the guy next to me to pull it up on his iPhone. Now you see them on everything from concert tickets to hospital check-ins, so yeah they're definitely back in a big way.

Started using QR codes for my classroom back in 2020 when we were doing take-home packets for kids who couldn't come in person. Put them on the front page linking to video instructions and extra practice sheets. At first I thought it was just a gimmick but parents kept telling me they actually used them because it was easier than typing out a web address. Now I put them on everything from permission slips to book order forms and honestly it saves me so much time explaining things over email. The kids think they're ancient history but the adults in their lives seem to appreciate having a quick way to get more info without hunting around.
