Wow, 500 cards is a solid milestone! It really makes you think about how you're presenting yourself in those first few seconds. I've found that having a clear, short intro ready helps a ton because you're not fumbling for words when someone asks what you do. The real trick is balancing giving enough info to be memorable without sounding like you're reading off a script.

Totally get what you're saying about that balancing act. It's so easy to either say too little and miss the mark or go on too long and lose their interest. Having a short intro ready has saved me from awkward silences more times than I can count. The key is keeping it genuine so it doesn't come off like you're just repeating lines from your resume. I still stumble sometimes when I'm nervous, but practice really does help smooth it out.
