Hit 500 business cards at a single networking event last month

I went to the Detroit Economic Club lunch on a Tuesday. Handed out cards to maybe 40 people. What surprised me was counting the stack when I got home - 500 exactly. That's a lot of paper for one day. Most of those cards will end up in a drawer somewhere. You think it's worth it to just scan them into your phone on the spot instead?

Yeah scanning on the spot is the move. Those cards are getting recycled by next week anyway.
