Dropped $250 on a mixer at the Masonic Temple and only walked out with two real leads
Honestly I paid $250 for a vendor table at a networking mixer near the Masonic Temple back in April, and it was a bust. The room was packed but most folks were there for the free drinks, and the two people who actually talked business were both selling me something I didn't need. My buddy paid $75 for a smaller luncheon on Jefferson the same week and got a solid referral out of it. Now I'm wondering if these big events are worth it at all, so has anyone found a smaller Detroit group that actually brings in real work?
