Best networking lunch I ever had was completely random
Stopped at a diner in Hamtramck last Thursday and ended up sitting next to a guy who runs a packaging company. We talked for 45 minutes and he handed me three solid referrals before we even finished our coffee. Anyone else ever get lucky with a random encounter like that?

Getting a good referral from the packaging guy is solid, but marrying them to lock in the connection is next level. It's just like how everyone's always trying to turn every little favor into some big favor trade now. Like my neighbor who mows my lawn once and then expects me to watch his dog for a whole weekend. People are always trying to get the most out of every single relationship, whether it's love or just a simple favor at work.
