Unpopular opinion: that tiny drip under my Denver kitchen sink turned into a 3 weekend saga
I figured it was a 20 minute fix on a Saturday, but the shutoff valve was frozen shut, then the compression nut snapped off in the pipe, then I found out the old galvanized line was basically rust held together by paint, so it turned into 3 weekends, 2 trips to the Ace on Colfax, and one very unhappy call to a plumber who laughed and said "welcome to 1920s houses," so what's the dumbest "quick fix" that swallowed a month of your weekends?
