TIL you can stack coupon codes on Chewy if you use the mobile app instead of the website

I was ordering cat food last week and had a 20% off code but also a free shipping code. On the website it only let me use one. Out of frustration I tried the mobile app and it let me put both in. Saved $14.50 total on a 40 pound bag of kibble. I have no idea why it works that way but I tested it again with a smaller order and same thing happened. Has anyone else noticed this trick working on other sites too?

I tried the same thing on Petco's app last month and it worked with two codes too, saved like 8 bucks on treats. Makes me wonder if they do it on purpose to push app downloads or if it's just a glitch they haven't fixed yet.

yeah i actually saw something on twitter the other day where someone said retailers do this on purpose to get people using the app more, like it's a hidden perk they don't advertise. doesn't surprise me if petco's doing the same thing, especially with how much they push those app exclusive deals now. probably a bit of both honestly, glitch that they're not in a rush to fix cause it drives downloads.
