That one time a customer showed me how coupon stacking actually works...
This older lady named Carol came into the bar a few years back and saw me looking at my phone during a lull. She asked if I was hunting for deals, and I admitted I was trying to figure out this store's coupon policy. She pulled out her little binder full of clipped coupons and spent 10 minutes showing me exactly how to combine a store coupon with a manufacturer one at Target. I still use her trick every time I stock up on cat food.

That lady with the binder is a LEGEND. I've been using that Target trick for years, you gotta hit the store coupon first then the manufacturer one on top. Watch out for the fine print though, some stores will only let you stack one store coupon per item. I always check their policy page on their website before I go in, saves a headache at checkout.

I gotta push back on calling her a legend though. Those extreme couponing setups actually cause headaches for cashiers and hold up lines for everyone else. I'd rather just use a couple store offers through my phone and get out fast.
