Stopped chasing every 50% off code after a cashier in Dayton called me out
A cashier at the Meijer on Springboro Pike in Dayton rang up my stuff and quietly asked why I had 3 different store apps open on my phone. I told her I was hunting for the best price and she said the codes rarely stack and I was holding up the line for maybe 40 cents. That stung but she was right, so now I just check one cashback app before I check out and skip the coupon code hunt. My grocery run dropped from 25 minutes of scanning to about 8, and I still saved $14 on a $60 cart. Has anyone else cut back on deal apps and actually felt fine about it?
