Scored 12 packs of pasta for 80 cents each and felt weird about it

Tbh I read this thread where someone bragged about price matching at Target and I tried it with a local grocery flyer. Got a dozen boxes of good spaghetti for under 10 bucks total, but now I wonder if I'm just feeding the system that jacks up prices everywhere else. Anyone else feel guilty stacking deals like that, or is it fair game?

The part about "feeding the system" got me. Thing is, the store already bought that pasta at their cost. If you price match, they still make their margin, just smaller. What actually hurts is when people clear shelves or use fake receipts. A dozen boxes is nothing, they restock that in an hour. You're not the problem, the guy buying 200 boxes to resell is.

That "they restock that in an hour" part really hit me. I used to think any price match was basically stealing from the store, like I was gaming the system somehow. But you're right, they already paid for that inventory, so a smaller margin on a few boxes doesn't hurt them at all. It's the dudes with flatbeds and fake coupons who actually mess things up for everyone else.
