PSA: Found an old price tag on a cabinet at the ReStore that stopped me cold

I was at the Habitat ReStore last Saturday in Omaha and spotted a vintage dresser. Stuck inside the drawer was an original receipt from 1989 showing $45. That same dresser was marked $200 now. It made me realize how much I just accept today's prices without thinking. Has anyone else found old receipts that made you rethink what a deal really is?

Three years ago my sister found out her husband was hiding credit card debt from her... they had always split everything 50/50 and she thought they were fine. It's not just about the money itself, it's the lying and the feeling that you don't really know the person you're building a life with.
