My washing machine broke down last Sunday, saved $120 with a YouTube fix
Honestly, I woke up last Sunday to a puddle on my laundry room floor. My 8-year-old Whirlpool washer just stopped mid-cycle and dumped water everywhere. I figured I'd have to call a repair guy and spend at least $200, but after some googling I found a 12-minute video about a clogged drain pump filter. Took me 20 minutes to clean it out and run the drain cycle, and boom, it works perfect now. The part I needed was just a screwdriver I already owned. Total cost was zero dollars and a little bit of frustration. Has anyone else fixed something simple and felt like a genius for an hour?

I mean it's cool you saved some cash, but is a clogged drain pump really something to feel like a genius over? That's literally like step one in any troubleshooting guide, just clearing a filter. You didn't reinvent the wheel, you just unclogged a sock or whatever was in there lol.

Well, sometimes it's the little wins that make you feel capable, not like some kind of genius.
