My $15 Walmart desk lamp fried itself last Tuesday, and the fix cost me 3 bucks at a thrift store
I had this cheap lamp on my desk for about two years when it just started buzzing and died on me last Tuesday night. Instead of buying a new one for $15, I hit the Goodwill on 5th street and grabbed an old metal lamp for $3. The cord was frayed so I spliced in a new one from a busted vacuum I had in the garage. Total cost was three dollars and twenty minutes, and it has been running cool ever since. Am I the only one who refuses to pay full price for stuff that breaks every couple years?
