Lost $60 on a fake "vintage" watch from a sketchy site
Back in June I saw this deal for a vintage Seiko on some site called timedeals4u or something. Paid $60 thinking I scored a classic piece. Showed up and the dial was crooked, the second hand didn't move, and the case was clearly plastic. Should have known better. Anyone else get burned by those too-good-to-be-true watch deals?

Got burned the exact same way last year on a "vintage Omega" from some random Instagram ad. $80 down the drain for a piece of junk that looked like a toy. The whole thing felt lighter than a soda can. Never again.

Was it really that bad though? An $80 watch from Instagram is pretty much asking for trouble, so maybe the expectations were just too high. At least you only lost $80 instead of a couple hundred on a real vintage piece, right?
