I thought the $5 clearance bin at Ollie's was all junk until I pulled out a $60 kitchen scale for $3
Stopped by the Ollie's on Ridge Road in Columbia last Tuesday just to kill time and almost walked right past the bin by the registers. Dug around for a minute and found a digital kitchen scale still sealed, the same model my sister bought for around $60 at a cooking store downtown. I figured it was marked down because it was broken or something, but I got it home, put in batteries, and it zeroed out and weighed everything dead on against my old one. Ended up going back Friday and grabbed two more, one for my mom and one for a buddy who brews beer. Has anyone else scored something surprisingly solid out of a store's random clearance pile, or is this a fluke?
