TIL the Hannaford in Concord marks down meat at 7am, not at night like I always thought
I stopped by the Concord Hannaford on Loudon Road at 7am on a Saturday just to grab coffee, and the butcher was slapping 50% off stickers on all the ground beef and chicken from the day before. I grabbed two packs of 93% lean for $2.79 a pound and tossed one straight in the freezer when I got home. All this time I was showing up at 8pm hoping for clearance and finding nothing but bare shelves. Turns out the morning crew does the markdowns before the store even gets busy. Anyone else have a specific time that works at their local store?
