The $2 bread bin at the Goffstown transfer station was empty, go figure

I stopped by the swap shed on Saturday thinking I'd finally score a bread box after eyeing one for weeks, but every shelf was picked clean except for a cracked cookie jar and a bag of mismatched Tupperware lids. Has anyone else noticed the good stuff disappears within the first hour the transfer station opens, or is it just my timing?

I used to think the early birds were exaggerating about the first hour thing, but your post pretty much convinced me I've been doing this all wrong. I showed up at 9:15 once and the only thing left was a lamp with a chewed cord, so I get it now. The swap shed people are like vultures, they hover by the door before it even opens. My neighbor swears she got a KitchenAid mixer last month just by waiting in her car at 7:50. I guess I gotta start planning my Saturdays around trash day now, or just accept that my bread will live on the counter forever.

My KitchenAid sits in the shed, laughing at my 9am self every Saturday.
