Scored a $15 bread maker at a Salem yard sale last Saturday, and I still can't believe it
Last Saturday I stopped at a yard sale on the west side of Salem around 8am and spotted a bread maker sitting in a cardboard box marked $15. The lady running it said her mom bought it new and only used it maybe 4 times, so I handed over the cash and carried it straight to my car. Got it home, wiped it down, and had a fresh loaf going by noon for about 30 cents worth of flour and yeast.
The little bake shop near me charges $7 for a loaf half that size, so this thing should pay for itself in about 3 batches. Has anyone else picked up a kitchen appliance at a yard sale that turned out way better than expected?
