Price match or stand in line, which side are you on after the Market Basket register freeze?

Last Saturday at the Nashua Market Basket, the registers locked up for 15 minutes and the cashier said they couldn't price match anything until the system reset. I had a Shaw's flyer with chicken at $1.99 a pound versus their $2.49, so I stood there deciding to bail or wait it out. I stayed, got the chicken at full price, but saved on gas not driving to Bedford. Would you have taken the loss or pushed for a rain check when the tech fixed it?

Oh man, sticking it out was the right call in my book. Fifteen minutes is nothing if you factor in the round trip to Bedford, which probably eats half an hour and a gallon of gas anyway. Plus you know Shaw's would've been out of the chicken at that price the second you walked in, they do that on purpose. The rain check thing is a gamble too, half the time the cashiers act like they've never heard of one and you end up arguing with a manager who looks at you like you're trying to return a used mattress. I'd rather eat the fifty cents a pound and be done with it.
