Market Basket vs Shaws produce, the weight difference was eye opening

I grabbed the same bag of apples from both stores in Concord last week, 3 pounds each. Market Basket rang up at 3.1 pounds but Shaws showed 3.4, that's 10% more money for water weight in the skin. My scale at home confirmed it too, so now I always reweigh before I commit to anything there. Anyone else notice this or is it just my luck with the Concord location?

Weighing everything at Shaws before buying is a habit now, their scale lied to me twice on berries and I got tired of paying for the extra water. Your Concord store is doing the same thing mine did in Manchester, I just grab from Market Basket and skip the headache.
