DAE change their mind about buying marked down meat after a butcher set them straight?
I used to skip right past the manager's special meat section at the Concord Market Basket because I figured discounted beef meant it was about to go bad. Last week a butcher named Dave saw me eyeballing a $6 pack of sirloin and told me the sell by date was still 3 days out, they just needed shelf space. He said the markdown happens way before anything turns and most people never ask. I grabbed it, cooked it that night, and it was honestly better than the full price stuff I bought two weeks ago. Now I check that section first every trip and saved $22 on my last two runs. Anyone else have a store employee change how you shop the deals?
